I agree with you and what you are suggesting. However, the API has some limitations and what is possible to do within the programming language of cAlgo.I would love to be able to have more freedom to program exactly what I want but the structure of the current API sets a limit. The solution to this is an upgrade of methods in the API by Spotware.

Stop and start another cBot

A new method is needed within the API, how to stop and start another cBot.

Mobile connectivety

Hi Paul, yes the above application would be very interesting for traders. The stop and start of a cBot are desperately needed also if it contains risk & money management features the better. To be able to control the trading application from a mobile phone is a very good idea. Mobile connectivity users are growing very quickly and will be a big part of the trading community in the future.

Moving levels

I do think I know what you are after. At this moment the levels can't be changed unless changed in the setup of the cbot. It would be very nice to be able to change and fine tune the levels according to resistant levels directly on the screen.

Well, Bali is nice "petra41" and also lake Atitlan Guatemala, Lagos Portugal, Goa India, Limmasol Cyprus or any other exotic comfortable and relaxing spot on this earth. An alert when the cBot crashes or the platform goes down would be very valuable for travelers. Should actually be hard coded in the platform itself. Hopefully, a solution will come from Spotware soon on this subject.

Until then if you are interested in being informed with sound, email, and screen information, the Alerts 1.0 cBot might fit the bill. It will give alerts when the setup of orders, positions, lots, risk, positions p&l and margin are triggered.

Closing positions on pips

The Close Positions 2.0 can handle closing only positions that are in a certain profit or loss in pips. When the cBot is stopped it only closes the positions specified in the setup of the cBot.

Test it out, free to download here: Close Positions 2.0

One way for you to try is to register a new demo account at the broker of choice with your login and username. Make a new demo account within the client area of the broker. To link the new demo account then with cTrader ID should work just fine. Have not had any problems with that. If that does not work try to delete the installed instances of cTrader and install it with a fresh installation on your computer.

Back office plugins

The fact is that the back office broker plugins for MT4 is very well known. The reasons for these plugins for the broker are as you have already mentioned, is to be in total control of every aspect of the incoming orders, to the broker's own benefit of course. These plugins to my knowledge do not exist in either cTrader or the cAlgo's broker back office.

I agree with you guys. Enums would be a great help to make programming of a cBot so much easier and the visual presentation as well.

Execution time

The execution time in the platform is very normal in a retail platform. MT4 has it and also most all of the other well-known platforms as well.

This is a so-called a window so the brokers have enough time to hedge the bets and execute the order. cTrader is no exception and we would love the current execution time of 150-250ms to come down to around 100ms. Something for the Spotware Team to work on, to make it happen.

That is why protecting for the individual traders is so important with proper risk & money management and cBots to give us an edge, and the correct information when needed.  RMMRobot.com is dedicated to this task and we have several free cBots for download that can be run on both demo and live accounts without any restrictions.

Positions P&L warning

Alerts 1.0 can solve your concern of being warned when criteria's are fulfilled. In the parameter setup of the cBot there is an alert that can be set to inform you when the positions p&l is reached. Also, the warning can be emailed and even a sound file can be played, to get your fullest attention that the alert has been triggered.

100% secured

cBots from the prospect of being secured I would say is 100%. The algorithms used in protecting your cBot coding from unauthorized gathering is minimal.

Furthermore distributing a cBot with encryption method used by Spotware team in both cAlgo and cTrader has the same high standard as well. You can feel safe in this regard.

Alerts cBot

Late alerts can probably vary depending on the broker and how the email function works at a specific time, like news.. Therefore having alerts and warnings handled by a VPS might speed up the delivery. Have a look at the Alerts 1.0 cBot, it is primarily a warning cBot that gives warnings when the set up of the parameters are triggered. Sound and email supported.

Selection of font and sizes

To be able to select a different font and also the font size is very high on my wish list.

Higher resolutions on monitors nowadays require a change in the Drawtext method.

Default order comment

Default order comment would be very good to have but the information all depend on the preferences that are important to the trader.

Maybe, just to have a cBot where you can write your own comments as a default is the best choice, every time an order is made the default comment will come into place.

Have a look at Market order 2.0 where you can write a default comment and every time the cBot or the platform are started, the comment will be filled in automatically.

Choice to close all positions

At times to close all positions might not be such a good idea. Let winners ride and let losers to be dropped can be the right strategy. It all depends on the situation at hand.

Close positions 2.0 give the trader the flexibility to make a choice.

Opening an account

I have never had any problems in opening a demo account or a live account with a broker on cTrader.
