Futures are specific to the USA market. CFDs are more common to the European markets. To trade futures, the brokers has to have their main office in the USA with affiliates in Europa. So far not many brokers in the USA has picked up on cAlgo or cTrader. We would love to have futures as well presented by the liquid providers in the platform. This will surely happen as the Spotware Team has already included futures as a possibility for brokers. It's up to the broker's to introduce futures within the platform.

The Market Order 2.0 can solve this but you need to open up several windows with the cBot and configure them differently.

Have a look at the information and the download link here: Market Order 2.0

Update What's New forum

It would be a very good help for everyone if Spotware update's the What's New forum so we all know what exactly the new updates are.

MetaTrader and cAlgo have different approaches how to solve the algorithms for trading. There is no proven way for a direct conversion between the two platforms, that works at this time. The MetaTrader code has to be translated to fit the cAlgo code, that is the only way to end up with a code that works fully out in cAlgo at this moment.

lezdoria, I fully agree with you that Spotware and the liquidity providers should support micro lots with indices and other CFDs. As you mentioned it has to do with proper risk & money management, even if one trades with larger accounts.

Closing multiple orders and positions

An update of closing multiple positions and orders at the same time in the API would be very welcoming. We want the fastest way to handle multiple closing.

Try out Close Positions cBot and see how it works out for you. Close Positions cBot information and download

Thanks but seems it's not price alerts (alert when reaching a certain price level).

Hi 8069184, my point is that it is possible within the API of cAlgo to incorporate your own sound files and not be locked in by the internal cTrader sound files.

Hedge Grid systems

Every Hedge grid system including Martingale cBots has a high risk of involvement for the trader. This does not mean that the systems will not preform as expected, it only means other protections and precautions has to be in place to protect the trading account while running these cBots. Money management is a must and by combining this with an overall protection the outcome can be very profitable for the trader. More can be read about protection at RMMRobot.com.

Learn the API

The best way to learn how to code in cAlgo is to learn the API in and out. There are also many very good programmers on the forum giving their suggestions how to solve a specific problem.

Testing the algorithm with a mindset of trial and error will eventually get you a good code that actually works in your cBot.

Two cBots

Yes, that is possible. Check out this cBot. Two cBots can be run at the same time.

Changing sound files

I do not think it's possible at the moment to change sounds files within the application of cTrader. It would be very convenient to be able to do so.

Alerts 1.0 cBot has solved this issue by having sound files that can be replaced with your own mp3 sound files.

Have a look at the cBot here: Alerts 1.0

The reason to include the commission is you can then calculate the correct risk management for the trade.

Takes time to solve the issues

I do agree with you all that we need more support on the forum from the Spotware Team. We are facing a conflict of interest from Spotware, divided between brokers, partners, programmers and at the same time keeping up with their support on the forum. Not an easy task for a new platform to please everybody. We have to give them enough time to work this out so we all will be satisfied at the end. This takes time and effort from the Spotware team to solve these issues and in the long run to prove to be a platform of choice for the trader.

Guys, every platform has advantages and disadvantages. Especially when it comes to a retail platform. All the participant of the chain has to have some piece of the cut to be worthwhile for partners, brokers, and the platform builder. Nothing new in my opinion. To get all this for free, does not exist for a retail trader.

Update Window 2008 R2 files

Try to update Window 2008 R2 with the latest update files. If that does not work reinstall cAlgo and cTrader directly from your broker.

Did you try to load the workspace from another broker. It might be that the current broker has not updated to the latest version. The other issue might be that when you saved the workspace in the first place the file went corrupted, and that is why you get the warning message, even if you have the latest and correct version of cTrader.
