The equation used for calculating the ROI is here. Some traders take advantage of the fact that some brokers allow trading with low balance and high leverage and make extremely risky trades, achieving such ROI levels. You should always check the strategy provider's balance to understand if he is inflating his/her ROI intentionally.

Hi Lisa,

This probably happens because of currency conversions. The position's P&L is converted to your account's currency based on the conversion rate of the backtesting's last date. Hence moving the end date back and forth can cause positions having slightly different P&L, resulting to a different overall performance for your execution.
