Slippage is of great concern for the trader
Slippage is a great concern for the trader. Does it vary between brokers, yes it does. One broker can have less slippage then another one at a specific time. It all comes down to how many liquid providers are connected to the brokerages network.of LP,s. The more LP's that are connected to a broker the less slippage and the less spread of course. A broker with just a few LP,s the trader is more at risk that slippage will occur. Also trading news differs between brokers. One broker can handle it just perfectly with no excessive slippage, another one you'll get greater slippage. So what broker is recommended? It's a trial and error journey for the trader to test different brokers in a live account to really experience it and get proof of how the broker treats the overall performance for the trader in different scenarios.

Bought and Sold cBot
The Bought and Sold cBot is free to download. It shows the latest bought and sold position. The information are color coded for a quick insight if the closed position ended up as profitable, loss or at break-even trade. There is only one parameter "Account Balance". Fill in the current account balance standing and the balance information will tell if you are in the green or in the red since the robot started. It's a small cBot in size and can be placed anywhere on the screen, especially if you detach the window in cTrader.

Never experienced the issue
I have personally never experienced the issue "1014104" mentioned. Stop loss and targets have always worked 100% on both live and demo accounts on all brokers. Can it be a hardware or maybe a network issue. Stop loss and target are always stored on the main server and not on the clients PC so they should be executed.

FxPro update
I have noticed as well that FxPro have an older version of cTrader. The reason can be that they have a news feed on cTrader and more work is needed to update their version to include the news feed. The old version FxPro are using are missing some important functions from the new API from Spotware. We are awaiting an upgrade from FxPro to fix the issue.

I totally agree with your standpoint that cTrader and cTrader are in the front line of a new approach to both Forex, indices and future trading. The platforms are so intuitive and easy to set up! It will will give both novice and experience traders a new outlook on how to trade the markets. Happy to hear your strategy is doing well! A lot of work time and dedication are needed to build a successful strategy, Testing the strategy is also time consuming. The valuation of the performance and all the changes that are needed to be done along the way, it all takes time.
Happy hunting to you too.. :)

Robotlink
Hi cjdduarte,
Robotlink from Scyware.com can handle controlling other robots from a main robot. Of course the best would be if Spotware would make a function supporting this directly from the platform itself. On the other hand Robotlink has many other features that are very good for a cAlgo programmer to have in their arsenal. My interest have been mainly to stop other robots running when the main robot stops, in this case it has worked flawlessly. Check it out and the cost of purchasing a license of Robotlink is very moderate.

Windows XP on its way out
Windows XP is way too old for running a modern application like cAlgo and cTrader. My suggestion is to upgrade to at least Windows 7 which is very stable. The software makers do not put in much of a support time either for XP anymore, as it is on it's way out.

New version! RMM Robot Version 2.5
A major update is made from version 2.0 to 2.5.
To trade only from cTrader with the new RMM Robot 2.5 running, is greatly improved!
The window size is more customable with the new version. The conversation from "volume" to "lots" are now updated on all RMM screen indicators.
Some other improvements have been made to give the trader a better trading experience with both cTrader and cAlgo.
Read more about it and download the new free version.

This feature would be very handy. Though it has to be in the core of cTrader and cAlgo, placed directly on the main trading server. It can be coded as a cBot but what happens if the VPS goes down running the cBot? I am all for having at least an account protection in percentage and second in "value" directly on the Spotware trading server.

It is needed!
I think there is a great need to be able run several cBots at the same time! There are cBots created for just controlling the risk & money management environment as well for other specific tasks. A portfolio would be great if Spotware is working to make this a reality, both for back testing, demo and live trading!!

Hi,
trailing stop for positions can be very profitable. How about a trailing stop for the trading account itself? We can have many positions opened at the same time. The idea is to have a trialing stop for the entire account regardless of how many positions are opened at the same time. This make sense to have the double protection in case a major draw down is on its way.

Several instances
Hi,
I'm not a fan of several instances to overcome short comings in a platform. It takes up too much bandwidth to run multiple instances. This might not a problem in the western world but certainly it is in other parts of the world. The best is to correct this from the ground up so multiple instances is not required.

Default setup
Guys you are so right regarding this issue.
I would say the default setup in QuickTrade should be carried over to the "Create new order". It's nearly impossible to change it every time one makes a new order and there is a big risk of making an error the way it is functioning now. QuickTrade is missing a very important parameter, lots to trade! Why not make the first trade as a default setting in QuickTrade and after that it is carried over to Create new order. After all most traders wants the same setup and risk management in all their trades.
