An .algo file is already encrypted and secured so there is not much more you can do. I don't know how secure MQL files are.

Hi Riccardo,

In this case, if I call Chart.ScrollTo(date) the indicator is restarted.
So I tried calling Bars.LoadMoreHistory() first, but it seems that even this call alone causes the indicator to restart.

Can you explain how did you come to this conclusion? What do I need to do to observe such a behavior?

This usually happens for specific setups involving multiple detached windows with several charts open. Our team is working on a comprehensive improvement of performance for these cases. A temporary workaround is to minimize windows that are not used, instead of just keeping them in the background. When minimized, the performance of the application will increase substantially, until further improvements are implemented.

Hi globalblack,

I am not sure which part of TradingView backtesting you like, but I am sure you are aware that the results are completely wrong and out of place. You know that TradingView does not do real backtesting it just connects points between indicator signals. Unless you are referring to Market Replay, which indeed can be achieved with third party tools in cTrader but it can be considered as a build in feature too.

The question is very general a vague. A general response is that if you are blocking the thread, then you cannot keep the indicator "awake". If you explain what you are doing and provide some code, then somebody could help.
