Optimization runs passes in batches. So when some passes finish and some are still executing, it needs to wait for the remaining to execute, before it starts a new batch of passes.

FIX API is language neutral. It's just text messages streamed over TCP. You can use any language you want send and receive these messages.

After you subscribe to the message, the prices should be streamed constantly. Make sure your code reads the incoming stream continuously.

The freeze issue is under investigation. Regarding the SL issue, this usually happens when you are trying to set invalid stop losses i.e. inside the spread or with an invalid price. If you can provide steps to reproduce the problem with valid stop loss prices we are happy to have a look.
