Dear ctid2151927

Your question was if you will be charged fees before you start copying again the strategy and I answered, no you will not until you restart copying the strategy. My answer was specific to your question. You did not ask about withdrawals so my answer was not covering that case. Apologies if this was not clear. Based on the previous method of calculating the fees, they will be charged on withdrawal as well.  We replied and explained why this happened and what changes we had planned to make for this behavior. This behavior has changed since this occurred and does not apply any more on cTrader Copy. But your fees were calculated based on the previous method and will be deducted on withdrawal.

Dear theFXlonglunch,

We are platform providers and we provide a tool for people to offer strategies and investors to invest in them. We also provide you with all the information to make sensible decisions. It is not in our plans to apply any censorship on how does each strategy provider trade or who should each investor follow. Strategy providers and investors are solely responsible for their own decisions. If you need somebody else to be responsible for your own decisions, maybe this type of investment is not for you.

Having said that, you have still provided no evidence that the platform is flawed or manipulated in any way. If cannot understand that investing in an account which started with $4 and become $100 is a risky decision, then we cannot help you more than that. We provide you all the information and tools to make an informed decision.

Dear ctid2151927

The fact that you are not happy with the reply you got, it does not mean we did not reply.

Dear theFXlonglunch,

Yes it is. The formula for the ROI is documented and the strategy deals are publicly available. You can make the calculations yourself. If you think that the calculations are wrong, please provide the necessary evidence e.g. an Excel sheet that proves our calculations wrong.

Hi ace6670,

Is there an option to set your stop out margin level or is it something decided by the Strategy provider or is it automated? I can only see an option to set equity stop loss. If there is an option, could you point me towards it?

This is configured by the broker and you cannot change it. It is a feature that protects the broker from negative balances

Also, I noticed a disparity between the number & volume of closed positions in my account that do not match the strategy providers'. Does the system close parts of open positions as opposed to the whole position to bring to within margin levels?

Yes the system closes only the necessary parts of the positions to restore margin but still keep you in the market.

Dear theFXlonglunch,

Your accusations about cTrader Copy are very serious. Therefore, please provide evidence why cTrader Copy is flawed and manipulated else I will have to remove this discussion from the forum. Unjustified defaming is not tolerated in this forum.

Hi marshalmax9,

The break even logic moves the SL at the level at which when the SL is triggered, your P&L will be equal to 0. This is the definition of Break Even. If you need a custom functionality for moving your SL, you can write a cBot.

Hi max.freedman,

It is not clear from the description what is the issue. I am not sure what do you mean when you say " the volume of that bar". Can you provide us with some code that will allow us to reproduce it?

Hi ace6670,

If you received these messages, it means that your stop out margin level was reached and positions had to be closed to restore your margin level.

Hi m.creku,

As I explained above, these deals might have been executed because some positions were closed due to stop out. Did you check this with your broker? Smart stop out does not close all positions if not necessary but only the part required to restore the margin. There are also other reasons that could cause deals being different between the strategy provider and the follower. You can check some here.

Hi uwescheffold,

OnStop()  was just an example. If you need access to GetFitnessArgs then you can do the export inside the GetFitness() method.

Hi m.creku,

The stop loss is not relevant to the stop out. Based on your screenshots, your margin level is at 96.47% even after the positions were closed. This is why I guess that this is what happened.

Hi uwescheffold,

What duketv is implying is that you can write this code in your cBot e.g. in OnStop() function. If it is a one hour job as you say, then it should not be so hard.

Hi m.creku,

At a first glance, it seems like a stop out due to margin requirements. Your margin level seems very low. Did you check this with your broker?

Hi theFXlonglunch,

This was a feedback-driven change. We removed the selector from each chart after numerous traders pointed out that it was taking too much space. So not everybody shares the same opinion with you. We understand that every trader has different needs but unfortunately we cannot please everybody, since individual needs are often contradicting.
